The Dart SHP block is designed to support high-flow & efficient cylinder head developed for the LS platforms, Whilst rectifying some of the noticeable issue of the 'Y' shaped LS bottom ends.

- Conventional style 4-bolt steel main caps;
- ARP Main Studs;
- Full main webbing for maximum bottom-end strength;
- 6 bolt per cylinder capability;
- 8-counterweight machining;
- Full skirt design;
- Extended cylinder barrels at the bottom to provide greater piston support for all combinations;
- Extra-thick Siamese cylinder bores;
- Blind head bolt holes don't go through into the water jacket;
- Provision for lifter oil restrictors in the lifter valley;
- Priority main oiling;
- Pro-Stock/Pro-Mod big block style stepped main oil galley;
- Thick deck to ensure reliable head gasket seal;
- External oil filter (must be used with stock or aftermarket oil pumps);
